Give the current grass height, approximate area, access information, and preferred date. Mention slopes, pets, debris, and whether you need edging or clippings collected.
Ask for a clear description of which lawn areas are included. Mowing, edging, trimming, blowing hard surfaces, bagging, and disposal are separate tasks unless the provider confirms otherwise. Do not assume weed treatment, fertilization, hedge trimming, or landscaping is part of a mowing estimate.
What Changes the Estimate
Lawn size, current grass height, slope, access width, obstacles, and additional cleanup affect how much work a visit involves. A first visit after weeks of growth can differ from routine maintenance. The provider should explain any minimum visit charge or separate fee before you agree to service.
