What the Visit May Include
Ask whether the visit includes front and back lawns, string trimming, edging, and clearing clippings from paved surfaces. A consistent visit day may be possible, but weather and provider schedules can change it.
Ask for a clear description of which lawn areas are included. Mowing, edging, trimming, blowing hard surfaces, bagging, and disposal are separate tasks unless the provider confirms otherwise. Do not assume weed treatment, fertilization, hedge trimming, or landscaping is part of a mowing estimate.
What Changes the Estimate
Lawn size, current grass height, slope, access width, obstacles, and additional cleanup affect how much work a visit involves. A first visit after weeks of growth can differ from routine maintenance. The provider should explain any minimum visit charge or separate fee before you agree to service.
Share the service address and a useful description of the lawn. Photos may help when requested, but they do not replace the provider’s final confirmation of scope and price.
Scheduling and Property Preparation
Ask what happens if growth slows, the lawn is too wet, or you need to skip a visit. Clarify whether the arrangement is per visit or recurring, how to change it, and whether the first visit costs more for tall grass.
Before the visit, move toys, hoses, and loose objects where practical. Tell the provider about sprinkler heads, gates, pets, and anything that might be hidden in the grass. Agree on access arrangements and ask how rain or unsafe ground conditions affect scheduling.
Questions to Ask Before Booking
Is the estimate for one visit or an ongoing schedule? Which lawn areas are included? Are edging, trimming, and clippings included? Who handles weather delays? What if the grass is taller than expected? Can the provider serve my exact address?
